Blackberry Torch 9860 - Embracing Touch Screen And More

BlackBerry Torch 9860 Mobile Phone
It is not new to all of us that RIM is a later bloomer when it comes to touch screen handsets. They took their time and did not really compete with the mobile giants when it comes to touch screen interface. Even if RIM is fully aware that the button-based interfaces are slowly losing its popularity, RIM took its time to come up with the evolved Torch 9810, Curve 9380, Bold Touch 9900, and the BlackBerry Torch 9860. But you have to admit it; RIM came out with pretty good touch screen handsets that are all capable of competing with top-selling touch screen handsets of today.

If you are an avid BlackBerry fan and you are dying to have the features of famous touch screen phones, then you will be proud of the Torch 9860. This is because you will get all of the perks of a touch screen handset with one of the best OS from BlackBerry (OS 7), the BlackBerry Messenger, a 3.7 inch touch screen (capacitive), and a whole lot more.

The BlackBerry Torch 9860 is one of RIM's all-touch handsets. Yes, you may miss the all QWERTY keyboard that you are used to having, but this is something that you will love.

When it comes to the phone's interface, you will notice that it is divided into 3 main sections. You will see the date, time, battery level, signal strength, and signal type at the top of the phone's screen. If you tap this area, you will then see a sub-menu. This is where you can easily manage your wireless connections, set your alarm, and toggle your options.

When you look below this area, you will then notice a thin strip that will serve as panel for your notifications. In this area, you will find your Twitter and Facebook messages, your e-mails, and your text messages. When you touch the panel, you will then open up a menu where you can respond to your e-mails, edit your calendar, and even view your missed calls. If you look at the left side of the panel, you will then find a shortcut where you can easily change your handset's current profile. On the right side, you can easily access your quick-search option.
